I never knew there was SO much to consider with dyeing. I am still going through the book. I haven't had the chance to play with the dyes yet.

Haven't used the kit yet but I'm very impressed with the quality of the yarn and the book included is absolutely fantastic -- full of inspiration for dying.

I bought the kit and I have been enjoying using it with both silk hankies and some merino fibre the colours are deep and rich. The kit is advertised as containing Wildfoote sock yarn but when mine came it had a large hank of Lamb's Pride instead which is a heavier yarn with some mohair content. I'm not sure if the kit has changed without the description being changed but it is heavier than most sock yarns. The other thing I would say is that although you get a red blue and yellow the colours in the kits are not primaries they will give you rich deep purples and inky blues but you may need to supplement them with some other shades to mix the colours you need.The dyes worked well and can see I will have a bit of a learning curve with them I want to buy more colours now!
